Guam is a small island near Philippines and is actually US territory. It is a very popular destination for Japanese tourists and shoppers because of it's duty free shops and nice beaches. Japanese also like to get married there because of the luxurious hotels that provide cheaper prices than Japan and in a wonderful scenery.

Kamakura temple

Kamakura near Tokyo used to be the capital of Japan for a significant number of years (before Tokyo became the capital).
Before the Kamakura era (1185-1333), the emperor of Japan and the government were both in Kyoto. During the Kamakura era, the Emperor remained in Kyoto but the government was in Kamakura. That's only long after the Kamakura era that Tokyo (at that time named "Edo") became the capital of Japan.

At the time I took this picture, there was a huge group of chinese tourist snorkling with flashy floats because they probably didn't know how to swim!!
Recently, South East Asia is a popular leisure destination for the Chinese middle class which for the first time is able to afford vacations abroad.
